NAILS!!!

I have finally got nails. Having lived more than half my life, statistically speaking, and for the first time, I have nails!!! I had gel nails attached two weeks ago at a beauty salon in the US and I'm super satisfied. They feel so natural and best thing is (apart from my hands looking 200% better) is that I can't bite my nails. It's nervous habit that I've struggled with all my life and now I have pretty nails - not very long, just sticking out about 3-4 mm from the fingertip - but for me that is LONG! :-)

I bought some nail polish since I had the beautician do the nails in French Manicure style. This means I can paint them any color I want - and when I remove that color - there's the French Manicure again!

This is the color I'm wearing right now. I really love it - it was a dream to put on, even for someone as hopelessly right-handed as I - who definitely am not used to applying nail polish. It also is supposed to be a combination of base coat, treatment, and topcoat - all in one. I can say that it is very durable, very shiny, and easy to take off even gel nails with the non-aceton remover.

Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure - 350 Grey by Grey, a creme color, which I bought at Rite Aid (an American drugstore) for $6.99. (They had a sale going on - I got another color 50% off.)
I added some silver nail art paint, which I will blog about when I've used it more, not sure if that shows up in the photo.

I also have the color 230 Nude Now - a lovely brown-beige-pink creme color. Makes your hands look really young, I think.

I couldn't resist anymore! My love and interest for anything beauty related - mainly makeup and skin care...eh...yes and hair products, has long called me to join the pretty large group of girls and women blogging about such things.

I can perhaps add to the mix in the sense that I'm of a more mature age (but who's counting, eh?) and with a blend of young and mature taste when it comes to these products.

Now - as you can tell from my slightly cocky title to this blog, "Redhead's Rules" - I'm quite opinionated when it comes to what I buy...and that is a good thing! I mean - these opinions are indeed my own, and what works for me is a matter of taste, preference, and physical features.

I might blog about other products than makeup, because I tend to get very excited about when I find something that works. So you are more likely to read about things I DO like, than what I DON'T at this blog. Some items might be of Swedish origin - some of English/American - or wherever I may have found them. The Web lets us shop pretty much globally, so who knows!

I hope you will enjoy and keep returning. Thanks for dropping by!
